SAAT
Soliman Auricular Allergy Treatment (SAAT)
SAAT has been validated to alleviate allergy symptoms and potentially achieve long-term elimination of allergies.
SAAT is a single procedure that often completely clears or significantly (80-90%) reduces a very specific health concern.
Both western and eastern doctors agree that allergic responses of all kinds develop from an overly sensitive, “malfunctioning” immune system. While western doctors mainly address allergies by suppressing the immune response, eastern medicine, in this case, SAAT, works to address the immune system’s negative response to an allergen.
SAAT essentially causes the allergen to go into remission by reprogramming your immune system. If the body has the ability and power to develop the overactive immune response, it has the ability to reverse it as well.
Alpha Gal is a carbohydrate or sugar found in Ticks saliva. This is transferred to humans during the ticks feeding when they bite skin. This is when the allergen begins in the human body and can cause various degrees of allergic reactions to mammal products. An allergy is an exaggerated response of our immune systems to a foreign substance. This response releases histamines into the body which causes an inflammatory response. What this means is the histamines are signaling our bodies to initiate inflammation such as hives, itching, gas and digestive upsets, and most severely anaphylactic shock.
Eastern medicine/acupuncture offers a treatment that may help eliminate the histamine response to an allergen. This is the Soliman Auricular Allergy Treatment that we call SAAT. This treatment was developed by Nadar Soliman over 20 years ago. Auricular means ear and in chinese medicine and acupuncture the ear has dozens of acupuncture points. Doctor Soliman’s training was highly influenced by a famous French acupuncturist who solely used the ear acupuncture points, as opposed to the bodies points, to treat his patients. During his training and studies Dr. Soliman discovered that there are zones within the ear that correlate to the organs in our body such as Spleen, kidney, liver, etc.
SAAT targets the body’s immune response to allergens which helps to reprogram the body’s tendency to react negatively to a foreign body or allergen. It is essentially retraining the immune system to alleviate allergy symptoms and potentially achieve long term elimination of an allergen.
When a patient comes in we will review their allergies and symptoms. In most cases a patient has had allergy testing performed via blood test or skin testing. If you can please bring a copy of this to your appointment. We will use Manual Muscle Testing (MMT) and Electronically Imprinted Testing Samples (EITS) to identify the substances contributing to your symptoms. I then use an electronic point finder to identify the point specific to you and your allergens. Once found I insert a very tiny intradermal needle. This needle lays flush against the skin and is then secured with surgical glue and small bandages. The needle is retained in the ear for 3 weeks. During this time the needle is encouraging the body to get rid of the antigens or the substances that trigger the body’s immune system to produce an allergic response.
